Technology & process

Technology supports the work. Judgment leads it.

WolfTRI uses modern tools to bring consistency to document review, comparison, and issue identification — so that experienced professionals can spend their attention on the issues most likely to affect coverage, pricing, and outcomes. The recommendations, the negotiations, and the advocacy are human.

Technology improves consistency and efficiency. Experienced professionals provide judgment.

Where technology helps

Four concrete uses.

Specific, supportive uses — not a marketing claim about automated underwriting. Each is used by trained personnel under the firm’s data security and AI governance standards.

Use 01

Document review support.

Structured tools help organize transaction documents and diligence materials so reviewers can locate, compare, and re-examine specific provisions efficiently. The reading is done by people.

Use 02

Pattern recognition across files.

Consistent tagging and indexing make it easier to recognize where a current file resembles — or departs from — past placements. Judgment about what the pattern means is human.

Use 03

Coverage and exclusion comparison.

Side-by-side comparison of carrier indications, exclusion language, and policy forms reduces transcription error and surfaces meaningful differences for negotiation.

Use 04

Issue identification, not issue resolution.

Tools flag candidates — potential gaps, drafting inconsistencies, items worth re-reading. Whether something is actually an issue, and how to resolve it, is a judgment call made by the senior principal.

Where judgment leads

What technology does not do.

Three areas where a licensed producer makes the call, on every file.

Recommendations.

Whether RWI is the right answer for a given transaction, which insurer to approach, what retention to recommend, and whether a separate tax or contingent risk policy is warranted — these are professional recommendations made by experienced people, not outputs of a model.

Negotiation.

Underwriting calls, exclusion negotiation, and final policy negotiation are conducted personally by a licensed producer. Coverage language is negotiated, not generated.

Client advocacy.

If a claim or notice arises, the file is handled by the same senior principal who handled the placement. Advocacy — with insurers, counsel, and the wholesale-market infrastructure — is a judgment-led activity, not a workflow.

Confidentiality and AI governance.

Client materials are handled under WolfTRI’s published data security and AI governance standards: company subscriptions with established providers, restricted access, no confidential deal information entered into consumer-grade AI tools, and reputable platforms with encryption in transit and at rest.
