WolfTRI obtains non-resident producer licenses on a transaction-specific basis as opportunities arise and as required by applicable state law. This list will expand over time and will be updated here as new state licenses are issued. If you have a question about a specific state in advance of a placement, contact us and we will confirm current status.
Where a transaction requires jurisdiction-specific authority, WolfTRI obtains and confirms the required authority before performing the activity that requires it, rather than only before binding, including applicable producer, surplus-lines, wholesale, and filing requirements. Surplus-lines filings, taxes, and stamping requirements vary by jurisdiction and are handled in accordance with applicable law and the relevant placement documentation.
WolfTRI provides insurance brokerage services as a licensed producer, supported by licensed U.S. wholesale-market infrastructure. The insurer underwrites and issues the policy. Client counsel remains responsible for legal advice, transaction documents, diligence conclusions, and policy-form review.
Activities that require an insurance producer license — soliciting, negotiating, quoting, placing, and binding coverage — are performed by WolfTRI’s licensed producers, with support from our licensed wholesale broker within the agreed scope. Personnel who are not licensed producers do not perform those activities; their work is limited to research, analysis, administration, and internal support.
Our founder remains personally subject to the professional obligations applicable to Illinois attorneys. Wolf Transactional Risk, LLC is an insurance brokerage and not a law firm, and our founder does not act as any client’s attorney through WolfTRI.
