Track Record

Trusted to do what is right.

WolfTRI's senior principal has been entrusted by deal counsel around the world to act in the best interest of their clients — through every stage of the placement, and in the moments that matter most.

A career built on counsel's trust.

Referral relationships with a broad cross-section of M&A counsel compounded into repeat engagements year over year. The standard was simple: responsive communication, rigorous policy markup, and a commitment to the client's interest above all else. When the situation required judgment, the judgment served the client. That is the whole record.

Principal-led on every file.

Every engagement is led directly by WolfTRI's senior principal and client-facing licensed insurance producer. There is no handoff to junior staff. The person who reviews the transaction documents, leads the underwriting discussions, negotiates exclusions, and reviews the final binder is the same person who remains close to the file after binding. The principal stays on the file from start to finish.

WolfTRI is intentionally small, but the placement process is not informal. Coverage is placed through a nationally recognized licensed U.S. wholesale broker and market-access platform that works alongside WolfTRI on insurer access, surplus-lines compliance, policy servicing, and claim-related coordination. GC and operations teams get senior-principal accountability from WolfTRI plus established wholesale-market infrastructure behind the placement.

WolfTRI's licensed producer has placed RWI across M&A, real estate, and GP-led secondaries at prior organizations, spanning every major deal structure and geography, with aggregate limits in the billions. That volume produces proprietary pattern recognition — into insurer appetite, pricing dynamics, and exclusion negotiation — that most brokers do not have.

Legal fluency, not just brokerage.

WolfTRI's senior principal is a former M&A attorney at Am Law–ranked firms. He reads purchase agreements the way deal lawyers do — because he was one. That fluency shapes how coverage is structured: aligned with the transaction documents, not bolted on as an afterthought.

Between 2017 and 2019, he taught RWI to deal teams at multiple Am Law 100 law firms and Fortune 500 legal teams — at a time when the product was still emerging as a standard M&A tool. That teaching deepened the ability to translate between legal risk and insurance structure, a skill that still defines how WolfTRI approaches every placement.

Cross-border, cross-practice.

Engagements have spanned buyers and targets across multiple continents — including inbound acquisitions from Asia, Europe, and Latin America. This experience includes navigating multinational diligence across dozens of jurisdictions, coordinating with international law firms, and structuring coverage for complex cross-border risk profiles.

Representative transaction types include strategic and sponsor-led M&A (domestic and cross-border), real assets (multifamily, industrial, hospitality, and development), GP-led secondaries (single- and multi-asset continuation vehicles), and adjacent transactional risk products. Counterparty identities, referring counsel, and specific transaction details are withheld to honor confidentiality obligations.

The coverage matters most at claim time.

A placement is only as good as the policy's performance when it is tested. WolfTRI's senior principal was directly involved in matters that proceeded to claim at prior organizations — supporting the notice and recovery process in coordination with counsel and the insurer rather than handing it off. That perspective shapes how a placement is built in the first place: policy language, exclusions, retentions, notice mechanics, and the underwriting record that can materially affect post-closing outcomes.

WolfTRI remains close after binding, coordinating with the client, counsel, insurers, and the licensed U.S. wholesale-market infrastructure through which the placement was made, so the record is clear and the client's position is professionally advocated.
